WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM ORDER?

ONE is our minimum, and best price break is at 50 quantity. You will see a price chart in the description of each handle.

HOW FAST CAN WE GET OUR TAP HANDLES?

We are proud to say that we are the quickest in the industry. Most orders take no more than 5 days after proof approval. In most cases we get them out in 1 to 2 days. 

WHAT ARE YOUR TAP HANDLES MADE FROM?

We use ethically sourced hard woods from Quebec, Canada. Typically maple or birch. Our supplier is proud to have Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. 

As a company we are committed to replacing what we use. That is why we are a part of the One Tree Planted program. For every 20 handles we produce we have one tree planted here in British Columbia. 

ARE YOUR PRINTS DURABLE?

Extremely! we use the newest UV ink technology. Our machines lay down the ink and then it is UV cured for a rock hard finish. The base paints we use are a high quality water based lacquer.

CAN YOU PRINT DECALS FOR THE TAP HANDLES?

Yes, we do print decals for tap handles. The vinyl we use is 3M - weather/waterproof and UV proof with high tack permanent adhesive. The ink is UV/weather/water/scratch proof, UV cured outdoor ink.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO TO MAKE OUR TAP HANDLES STAND OUT?

We have a few inexpensive ways: Our most popular is the embossed printing. Our machines have a very unique feature that allows us to print raised areas to give the handle texture. Think of printing a beer mug and actually being able to feel the water droplets.

We can also add plexiglass toppers. These are laser cut and direct printed. They can really make a handle stand out (these are not structural so we do not suggest grabbing them when pulling a beer).

We can also make plexiglass embellishments to give a handle some dimension.

CAN I GET A CHALKBOARD TAP HANDLE?

Yes. We use a synthetic chalkboard vinyl that lasts longer and is easier to clean. If you want this, mark it on your proof as “Chalkboard area”.

DO THE TAP HANDLES HAVE FERRULES?

Yes, most come with a chrome external ferrule. There are a few short handles that use an internal ferrule. The threads are the North American standard 3/16” course thread.

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR TAPHANDLES TO GO?

We stock a variety of pre-painted handles that are manufactured in Canada and kept in stock at our facility in British Columbia. We direct print to the handle with UV ink, and for any areas that cannot be printed directly, we use a high quality print decal. The decals are printed with the same UV cured ink. Ferrules are inserted and they are ready to ship.

ARE THE TAP HANDLE DECALS REMOVABLE?

Yes - we typically use permanent adhesive vinyl for the decals that are to remain permanently (these could be removed with a lot of elbow grease). We can print decals with low tack vinyl that can be removed on a regular basis so you can adjust to the market quickly. 

DO ALL OF MY TAP HANDLES HAVE TO LOOK THE SAME?

No. If you are doing the artwork and it's set up properly on the template, it doesn't matter what graphics you want to put on the handles

DO YOU CHARGE FOR ARTWORK?

Not if you're ordering 30 tap handles or more. There may be a surcharge for smaller orders.

WHAT IF I WANT A 3D CUSTOM TAP HANDLE THAT IS NOT FROM TAPHANDLESTOGO?

Tap Handles Canada - we are printing 3D full custom tap handles, starting in February 2023. We will be 100% made in Canada. We have the ability to create full custom tap handles with low minimum quantities required.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP MY TAP HANDLES?

Our goal is to have your first proof back to you within 24 hr. Once approved, we go straight to producing. Your order could be mailed within 1 to 5 business days. Shipping times with Canada Post can be found here.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure ALL shipping information (including phone number) is entered as it is required for shipping. If shipping information is incorrect or missing, it will delay shipping. Extra shipping charges will apply for returned items.

CAN YOU EXPEDITE MY ORDER?

Yes we can ship Xpress or Priority shipping for an extra cost. Please let us know your deadline in the "special instructions" area when ordering and we will let you know what we can do.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP FROM?

Invermere, British Columbia, Canada.

We use Canada Post. Their shipping terms and agreements are here.
 
DO YOU GUARANTEE COLOUR MATCHING?

We cannot guarantee colour matches. The only way to achieve this would be to send physical samples to us. We do use Pantones to try to match, and we print using CMYK.

CAN I REQUEST A CHANGE AFTER I APPROVE MY PROOF?

No. After proof approval, it is immediately sent to production.

WHAT IF MY ARTWORK IS LOW QUALITY?

We will let you know if the quality is too poor to print. If it is too low, we will let you know if it is fixable. There may be a surcharge for fixing low quality.

WHAT FILE FORMATS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We can accept any file formats, and will let you know if we can’t open it.

ARE TAP HANDLE TEMPLATES AVAILABLE?

Yes. There are tap handle templates available in various formats on each page of the tap handle shapes.

CAN YOU PRINT RGB/PANTONE COLOURS?

Our printer prints using CMYK ink, therefore RGB and Pantone colours will be switched to CMYK and there may be slight colour shifts. When switching from RGB and Pantone, we will get as close as possible but cannot guarantee a complete colour match.

DO I NEED TO OUTLINE MY FONTS?

Yes. Please convert them to lines.

CAN YOU RESIZE MY ARTWORK FOR ME?

Yes. Vector artwork can be resized, and non-vector artwork can be resized as long as the resolution is high enough.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO UPDATE ARTWORK I JUST SUBMITTED?

Yes because we will send a proof prior to printing.  

WHAT CURRENCY DO YOU USE?

All prices are in Canadian dollars.

CAN I GET A QUOTE?

Email us and we will get you a quote within 24 business hours.

CAN I SEE A PROOF BEFORE ORDERING?

An order must be placed and a credit card amount put on hold prior to getting your first proof. We will send up to 3 proofs per order at no charge.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO PAY VIA PURCHASE ORDER?

Not typically, but possible after paperwork is complete.

DO I NEED TO APPROVE A PROOF WHEN REORDERING?

Yes. It takes just a few minutes and can save a lot of confusion since we cannot remember all the orders that we have previously completed.

CAN I MODIFY MY QUANTITY AFTER ORDERING?

Yes, anything can be changed during the proofing process.

WILL YOU PRINT COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL?

No, unless the copyright is owned by the person placing the order. We do not take responsibility for copyright infringements.
