Frequently Asked Questions:

What is your minimum order?

ONE is our minimum. You will see a price chart in the description of each handle.

How fast can we get them?

We are proud to say that we are the quickest in the industry. Most orders take no more than 5 days after proof approval. In most cases we get them out in 1 to 2 days.

What are your handles made from?

We use ethically sourced hard woods from Quebec, Canada. Typically maple or birch. Our supplier is proud to have Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification.

As a company we are committed to replacing what we use. That is why we are a part of the One Tree Planted program. For every 20 handles we produce we have one tree planted here in British Columbia.

Are your prints durable?

Extremely! we use the newest UV ink technology. Our machines lay down the ink and then it is UV cured for a rock hard finish. The base paints we use are a high quality water based lacquer.

Can you print decals for the handles?

Yes, through our sister company Sticker Nut. We have two specialty products for tap handles: An extremely sticky sticker for a permanent hold on which we add a laminate to make them extra durable (dishwasher approved). We also make low tack decals that can be easily replaced without leaving glue behind. These are great for changing beer styles.

What else can you do to make our handles stand out?

We have a few inexpensive ways: Our most popular is the embossed printing. Our machines have a very unique feature that allows us to print raised areas to give the handle texture. Think of printing a beer mug and actually being able to feel the water droplets.

We can also add plexiglass toppers. These are laser cut and direct printed. They can really make a handle stand out (these are not structural so we do not suggest grabbing them when pulling a beer).

We can also make plexiglass embellishments to give a handle some dimension.

Can I get chalkboard on my handle?

Yes. We use a synthetic chalkboard vinyl that lasts longer and is easier to clean. If you want this, mark it on your proof as “Chalkboard area”.

Do the tap handles have ferrules?

Yes, most come with a chrome external ferrule. There are a few short handles that use an internal ferrule. The threads are the North American standard 3/16” course thread.

How do you make your Tap Handles to go?

We stock a variety of pre-painted designs that are manufactured in Canada and kept in stock at our facility in British Columbia. We print on pressure sensitive vinyl and cover with durable laminate to protect the ink and wrap the handles to give them their customized finish. We also laser engrave the "Easy Handles". We also direct print with UV ink.

Are the decals removable?

Yes - but they are hardy enough to last. We designed the handles to have areas that can be changed on a regular basis so you can adjust to the market quickly. Many customers order extra decals from us when they have seasonals or want to change the brew name. No need for a whole new handle for a new brew (but, they are priced cheap enough that you can do that!)

Do all of my handles have to look the same?

No. If you are doing the artwork and it's set up properly on the template, it doesn't matter what graphics you want to put on the handles

What are your artwork charges?

We charge $75.00 per hour for artwork and design. Free if you're ordering 30 or more.

What if I want a 3D custom handle that is not from this line?

Our parent company, Wylie Jack Tap Handles & Branding, takes care of all the 3D custom work. We do all of the design and prototyping in Canada. We manufacture in Asia, and we also manufacture in Canada. Minimum orders for 3D custom handles through Wylie Jack is 100 to 200, depending on the design.
